1) What is the difference between cannabis, marijuana, and industrial hemp?
A: Both industrial hemp (“hemp” for short) and marijuana are bred from the same plant, the Cannabis Sativa plant, but are genetically distinct and differ legally. They also differ in cultivation, chemical properties, and use. Marijuana is cultivated in order to yield high levels of its psychoactive ingredient, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hemp is cultivated to produce high levels of its potent, anti-inflammatory ingredient, Cannabidiol (CBD), in addition to other products such as fabrics, paper, rope, foods, and fuels. Hemp does not have any psychoactive properties. When CBD is partnered with THC, the combination becomes the foundation for medical marijuana.

3) What is hemp extract oil? Is there CBD and THC in hemp extract oil?
A: There are over 100 compounds that have been identified in the hemp plant, each with different properties and herbal effects. Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant cannabinoid or phyto-cannabinoid, it is not intoxicating, and has none of the psychoactive properties of THC or marijuana. CBD binds to receptors in our endocannabinoid system and immune system, and offers anti-inflammatory, neuro-protectant and analgesic benefits. There are many other compounds in Hemp Extract Oil that are beneficial to human health and well-being such as CBDA, CBDV, CBC, CBG, essential oils, and terpenes. CBD with less than .3% THC has recently gained popularity as a dietary/health supplement and is now one of the leading applications of hemp in the United States.
4) Does hemp extract oil with CBD get you high?
A: No. Though CBD and THC share the same source plant family (cannabis), they chemically interact with your body differently. CBD does not have any of the psychoactive properties associated with marijuana, or THC, and will not get you “high.” CBD derived from the industrial hemp plant has less than 0.3% THC and provides many health benefits without being psychoactive.
5) Is hemp extract oil with CBD safe?
A: Clinical trial data published by the journal, Current Pharmaceutical Design, showed that oral administration of CBD is safe even in extremely high doses. In 2017 the World Health Organization (WHO) has determined that there is no potential for abuse in terms of CBD usage. Always consult with a physician before adding any supplement to your diet.
6) Is hemp extract oil with CBD legal?
A: Yes. Products derived from industrial hemp grown on United States farms that operate with permission under Section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (“Farm Bill”), are legal in all 50 states. Only products made from industrial hemp (less than 0.3% THC) are federally legal to sell, buy, consume, and ship. This single factor (0.3%) is how most people distinguish between what is classified as “hemp” and what is classified as “marijuana.”
7) What is the Entourage Effect? CBD Isolate v. Full Spectrum CBD.
A: Full-spectrum phyto-cannabinoid rich Hemp Extract Oil means that ALL of the beneficial parts of the plant are utilized in the oil including other cannabinoids, essential oils, and terpenes. Scientific evidence shows that CBD in the presence of the other plant components improves the therapeutic effectiveness of the Hemp Extract Oil, making it more potent or useful than pure CBD Isolate. Research has concluded that the higher efficiency of full spectrum phyto-cannabinoid rich Hemp Extract Oil over CBD Isolate oil can be explained by synergistic interactions between the CBD and other plant compounds, leading to additional therapeutic effects. This synergy is called the “Entourage Effect”.
8) What are turpenes?
A: Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds, produced by a variety of plants. In the hemp plant, terpenes are organic, aromatic flavonoids produced along with cannabinoids, and are responsible for its flavors and aromas as well as having their own therapeutic effects that contribute to the Entourage Effect.
9) What are essential oils?
A: Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that retain the plant’s scent and flavor, also called its “essence”. Essential oils are used widely as fragrances in perfumery, and in medicine and alternative medicines such as aromatherapy.
10) If I use hemp extract oil with CBD, will I pass a drug test?
A: Hemp Extract Oil derived from industrial hemp has less than 0.3% THC. The trace amounts of THC found in Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract Oil is minuscule. So, someone using it may or may not test positive for THC on a drug test, even though they will not experience any alterations of mental state during or after using the product.
